Organ Donation
Sasha died one day after her 35th birthday. When we rushed to the hospital to see her lifeless body, there were forms to fill out in the midst of our grief. One of them ask if I would be willing to donate her corneas. It was a quick decision. “Yes!”
I didn’t realize then what a blessing it would be to me to get an unexpected letter in the mail a year or so later thanking me for that donation from the person that had received them. I can’t say enough about the importance of making this kind of donation. It brings redemption and hope in the midst of sorrow. What could be better than that?
